StormPack RTC Notification Service T&C and Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

  • By opting in to the North Carolina State University Stormwater Engineering Group Notification Service (“Service”), you agree to receive recurring SMS messages related to our StormPack RTC system. These messages include informational updates, operational alerts, performance summaries, and other approved communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. 

2. Subscription and Consent

  • Opt-In Process:
    You can subscribe by submitting this Google Form that requires your consent and selection of notification alert types.
  • Verification:
    Upon subscribing, you will receive a one-time verification message. Continued use of the Service confirms your consent.

3. Message Content and Frequency

  • Types of Messages:
    You will receive messages regarding operational updates (e.g., valve operations, performance summaries) and routine status alerts (e.g., weather updates) of the StormPack RTC system of your choosing.
  • Frequency Disclosure:
    Message frequency varies by alert type. Some messages are sent immediately, while others are aggregated into daily or monthly summaries.
    Note: In order to ensure service quality and user safety, certain critical alerts (e.g., server notifications) may be restricted to designated user groups.

4. Opt-Out and Help

  • Opt-Out Process:
    To stop receiving messages, reply with any of the following keywords: STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
    Opt-Out Message Example:
    “You have successfully opted out of messages from North Carolina State University Stormwater Engineering Group. You will receive no further messages.”
  • Help Process:
    For support or more information, reply HELP or contact us directly.
    Help Message Example:
    “Thank you for reaching out to North Carolina State University Stormwater Engineering Group. Please email baestormwater@ncsu.edu for support. Reply STOP to cancel.”
