Wet ponds are the most common, larger scale SCM along the east coast. Due to their ubiquity in target regions of water quality concern, retrofitting these practices provides an excellent opportunity for additional watershed treatment. NC State is monitoring several wet pond retrofits, including floating wetland islands, up-flow filters, and littoral shelf sand filters.
