The Stormwater Engineering Group is a leader in Green Infrastructure management, education, and research. As an integral part of NC State University’s Biological & Agricultural Engineering department, the Stormwater team is committed to the three main aspects of a land-grant university:

The team itself consists of tenure and non-tenure track faculty, as well as students and off-campus Extension faculty. Consistently on the cutting edge of stormwater and green infrastructure research, design, and management, members study and specialize in various fields including ecosystem services, Low Impact Development (LID) techniques (such as bioretention areas, engineered wetlands, bioswales, cisterns, green & blue roofs, permeable pavements, and regenerative stormwater conveyance), and developing metrics for success.
